Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Historical Society provides historical resources for Deephaven, Excelsior, Greenwood, Shorewood and Tonka Bay.
Their mission is to preserve, document and classify the physical history of the Lake Minnetonka area and to provide a means by which everyone can share in the history of the lake area.

Minnetonka Center for the Arts serves the Lake Minnetonka area. The purpose of the Minnetonka Center for the Arts has been to make the visual arts available and accessible to people of all ages, interests and abilities. As a nonprofit community art center, they advance their visual arts mission on three fronts: classes, exhibits and outreach.  Art classes are just one way you can engage with the arts at the Minnetonka Center for the Arts. Explore one of their current exhibitions, try something new in a workshop, participate in an event like our book club, and more!

Museum of Lake Minnetonka is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has served the Twin Cities area with a unique, authentic experience since incorporating in 2004. As one of the only “living history” museums in the region, our mission is to inspire an enduring connection to Lake Minnetonka’s cultural heritage by operating the streetcar steamboat Minnehaha as an authentic, living museum and community icon.
